Sept. 9, 2015

Hi - and welcome to my blog.  I will be updating this weekly with events that are happening in our classroom.  Each week the spelling list is posted on this site.  I have also added some websites that are great to use at school and home.  Your child can access these from this site. Please become a follower so you can be updated each week.

This week are are reading the story Henry and Mudge and the Starry Night.  We are working on consonant blends, character, and setting.  In Language Arts we are learning about predicates and what makes a good sentence.  It is insect exploration time in Science as we learn about the body parts of and insect.  They do know a great song about this.  Maybe they could teach you.  Math time is spent learning many subtraction strategies.  In Art we created Lady Liberty in honor of Patriots Day and Constitution Day.  They are beautiful!

As always please let me know if you have any questions or concerns!
