Week of April 1st
No School on Monday!! This week we will be reading The Signmaker's Assistant, working on aw, au, augh, and al words, and realism and fantasy. We will also be learning about contractions. In Math we will continue to use data to create different types of graphs. In Science will will start learning about dinosaurs and how our earth has changed over time.

Week of March 25th
We will be reading the story Horace and Morris but Mostly Delores. We will be working on ph and gh for the /f/ sound and author's purpose. We will continue to work on different kinds of pronouns and our add on stories. In Math we are working on graphs and interpreting data. In Science we will be learning about Natural Resources and how our earth has changed. No school on Friday.

Week of March 18th
This week we will be reading Bad Dog Dodger and working on words with kn, wr, gn, and mb. We are continuing to work on theme and plot. During Language Arts we will be writing our add on stories and using I and me. In math we will finish our time unit. In Social Studies we will focus on US maps and where will live in the world.

Week of March 11th
This week we will be reading the story One Dark Night while learning about prefixes and sequencing. We will be working on add-on stories and pronouns for one and more than one. In Math we are working on telling time to the nearest 5 minutes. We will continue to learn about the impacts of weather and how to stay safe. Thursday will be the last day for our student teacher Miss Rambour. We will miss her greatly! Congratulations go out to her as she will be teaching 3rd grade next fall at Saint Josephs. There will be no school on Friday.

Week of March 4th
This week we will be reading the story Firefighters while working on suffixes and main idea. We will be writing our final drafts of our fiction responses and starting our add on stories. We will focus on pronouns as well. In Math we will continue to work on measurement and comparing weights. In Social Studies and Science we will learn about Ruby Bridges and start a unit on weather. It should be a fun week!
